Powertex is an environmentally friendly water based textile hardener for paper, textiles, plush fabrics, cardboard, fibre matting etc. and can be used in conjunction with air-drying clays, Polymer Clay, stone, ceramics, wood etc. The product can also be used to preserve 'treasures' such as babies first shoes!
This is a well known and well used European product that was originally introduced to Australia by Eveline and David Janssen when they moved from Holland to Buderim Qld in October 2004 see the following Website for further details (www.astonishing.com.au).
The product has been well used in Queensland, Northern Territory, Melbourne and various country towns thoughout NSW since that time but has never taken off in Sydney. We have now undertaken training and have become the first Certified Trainers for the product Sydneywide! We are also distributors for the product and it's associated by-products etc.
We will be holding regular HALF DAY WEEKDAY AND SATURDAY Workshops and classes at OUR STUDIO IN EARLWOOD from February 2009 onwards. (see WEEKEND WORKSHOPS for more detail)
HALF-DAY (3 hour) WORKSHOPS are available at EARLWOOD on TUESDAYS OR BY ARRANGEMENT Please Note: It can take 2 x 3 hr workshops (6 HOURS) to create a complete statue.
